About the Event

The California Black Women’s Collective (CABWC) is a coalition of intergenerational Black Women who bring together a span of expertise in politics, community activism, collaboration, social justice and beyond. We have come together to stand in support of issues and priorities that are vital to elevate Black women. CABWC officially launched in February 2021 with 12 members. Today, there are more than 1,450 members.

Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA), a founding member of CABWC, is a statewide organization that promote, support, and educate African American women about the political process. BWOPA TILE, a 501C3, provides programs to develop and incubate a generation of African American women leaders, so that these women are represented at local and national decision-making tables.

In our continuing efforts to provide education and empowerment opportunities for Black Women leaders, the CABWC in collaboration with BWOPA, is hosting a statewide conference on January 28 - 29, 2022. The conference will be held at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach CA. We are expecting 200-300 CA Black Women Leaders to attend this inaugural event.
