About

SheWorks California

California Black Women's Collective Empowerment Institute is proud to launch, SheWorks, a transformative workforce development program designed to empower women in Los Angeles County facing unemployment, underemployment, or system involvement. Rooted in the lived experiences of Black Women, this initiative provides comprehensive support to foster long-term success.

Through intensive workforce readiness training, strategic career pathway development, and essential wraparound support services, SheWorks equips participants with the skills, confidence, and resources vital for achieving sustainable employment and economic independence. By integrating targeted job training with holistic support, the program forges meaningful pathways to financial stability for women overcoming significant barriers to work.

This program receives partial funding from the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor and proudly partners with LA Care Blue Shield Promise Community Resource Centers.
